Are you getting tired of the food in the cafeteria, or just don't feel like cooking dinner for yourself tonight? Does the idea of going out to eat suddenly sound like an awesome idea? Well get ready: Restaurant Week is coming to Poughkeepsie. Our Opinion

To employ the PR-speak that accompanies all action within a public institution, one could say that USM is currently "in a period of great transition."

But such flowery descriptions are just an effort to mask the truth of the matter. We are broke, confused and anxious about the future of the university.

The F Word: A Feminist Perspective

When I first learned about the concept of feminism, I was pretty doe-eyed about the idea of a "sisterhood." It was inspirational to imagine women across the globe united in a collective consciousness, a struggle for equal rights, with all of us supporting each other like an extended family.

However, there is one particular term that still gets my goat, one that I always feel silly bringing up: nipple.

With a blizzard one week and temperatures in the upper 50s the next, New York City in March seems very confused. It’s so disappointing to break out the spring wardrobe and cast off your winter coat only to realize it’s a false alarm. Though it may be too soon for flip flops and shorts here, the stores are chock full of airy sunny spring merchandise – and it’s all just in time for spring break.

The Langone Word

A cramped room at Japas 38 singing karaoke, bottle service at Pink Elephant, and the cigar room at Del Frisco's -for many people these are not the scenes of a great birthday with close friends in New York City, but rather the locations where people indulge with none other than their coworkers.
