03/17/04 - The Office of Student Life facilitated a forum yesterday that will hopefully initiate discussion of disciplinary policy at the University of Rhode Island and bring about much needed reform. The board members were able to explain some of the intricacies of the judicial process at URI, but were unable to give a convincing reason that the accused's right to an open meeting should not be granted.
03/17/04 - To the Cigar, While liberal America pushes for federal legalization of gay marriage, its conservative counterpart clearly possesses the majority in opposing it. A recent NY Times poll showed 61 percent of Americans to opposing gay marriage. If such a dichotomy is to be argued as misleading or stereotypical, let us then examine the beliefs of a few more groups.
03/17/04 - To the Cigar, This topic has generated much debate and I'm excited for it, but I'll keep it short for I'm sure there are many more things for other people to say. This is a retort to Professor Swonger's arguement that there are reasons other than the religious to outlaw gay marriage.
03/17/04 - To the Cigar, I am both shocked and appalled at Mr. Ferdinandi's letter, "Civil rights activists, liberals need not apply." This letter shows exactly what is wrong with both liberals and the extreme left. Conservatives are accused of hate-mongering, but this letter is far worse.
