02/03/05 - The University of Rhode Island Library is currently taking steps to address the issue of alleged sexual activity and vandalism that has been occurring during the past few months in the men's bathrooms in the basement of the library. "It's a very sensitive topic," Interim Dean of the University Library Chris Wessells said.
02/03/05 - Several members of the University of Rhode Island-Narragansett Coalition are supporting the use of sobriety roadblocks in communities surrounding the university. The roadblocks were found to be unconstitutional by the Rhode Island Supreme Court 15 years ago.
02/03/05 - The University of Rhode Island Student Senate postponed voting on a package of legislation during yesterday's meeting that would change the student group recognition process . Originally, the senate scheduled a vote on the proposed changes yesterday, but Vice President Brett Samuels postponed the vote until next week, sparking an outcry from some members of the Student Organization and Advisory and Review Committee.
02/03/05 - This week's Student Senate elections for academic seats ended in a series of close races, as unofficial results were counted right before last night's senate meeting. "We ended up with 287 votes, which isn't bad considering people are holding out for the Presidential election," Senate Election Chairwoman Julia Monaghan said.
