11/09/05 - Peace Corps regional recruiter George Rutherford spoke yesterday about life changing experiences in the Peace Corps. "The Peace Corps experience is unique to every person," Rutherford said in the Memorial Union to about 30 students. Eric Bulmer, a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Nepal, also spoke.
11/09/05 - Former colleagues of George Parks, the first dean of the University of Rhode Island Library, shared memories of his sense of fairness and his warm personality. Parks passed away Oct. 17 in Windham, Maine. Bill O'Malley, currently the department chair at the university library and one of Parks' good friends, remembered when Parks arrived at URI.
11/09/05 - The University of Rhode Island Hillel, a Jewish student organization, acquired two sections of the old Alpha Xi Delta sorority house to serve for formal meetings, functions and office space Monday.
