09/10/08 - Even after Student Senate took a strong public stance against the "Unruly Gatherings" ordinance last year, many students and residents thought there was little hope for a sticker-free environment. Stickers were still going up, fines were still being paid, and with questions from the Council like, "Who are they to oppose an ordinance?" students felt they were being disrespected.
09/10/08 - To the Cigar, I am writing to inform students of recent increases in University of Rhode Island Parking Violations, and Rhode Island Traffic Violation (general) increases. If you are parked in an area on campus that is not designated and defined as an area you should be in legally, it will cost you $85.
09/10/08 - To the Cigar, I am dutifully responding to the request in Monday's Cigar asking for letters to the editor. In that issue Brenna McCabe penned a story about the University of Rhode Island exploring options to save money in dire financial times.
