11/18/08 - Friday night at the Ryan Center, the University of Rhode Island men's basketball team opened its regular season with a 76-74 win over Brown University. Sunday afternoon the Rams played another close game as they came up short against nationally ranked Duke University, 82-79.
11/18/08 - The University of Rhode Island men's soccer team boasts three players on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team. Senior Kedan Crosby, Sophomore Dwayne Williams and Freshman Erkko Puranen were all awarded the A-10 honors after receiving votes from the league's head coaches.
11/18/08 - The University of Rhode Island football team dropped its fifth straight game as the University of Maine defeated the Rams in the rain, 37-7, Saturday afternoon. The last game at Meade Stadium for the 16 URI seniors wasn't pretty and sloppy conditions were not enough to slow down the Black Bears' rushing attack.
