Letter: Student thanks URI Recycling

I just wanted to send out kudos to URI Recycling for helping out the world a little more.
Each year during move-in, hundreds of URI students throw away cardboard boxes in the large Dumpsters placed around campus. I cringe when I see the cardboard just getting thrown away and not recycled.
This year was a little different. Students again threw away cardboard in the dumpsters, but URI Recycling came by after move-in to dig through the dumpsters and pull out all the cardboard boxes for recycling. They piled the boxes in the back of a truck, and off they went!
Thanks URI Recycling! It put a huge smile on my face to see that. It's nice to know people really do care about recycling these days.
Just as a reminder to everyone, URI Recycling can help with many of your recycling needs.

Not only can the typical bottles, cans, and paper be recycled, but we can also recycle ink cartridges and batteries.
