Stalking the Jonas Brothers

09/11/08 - As many of you can image, the Jonas Brothers' phenomenon is unlike any other. Some might even say that they are bigger than *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys.
I for one completely agree with this. Sure, Justin Timberlake and Nick Carter were worth the occasional $100 concert ticket, but the Jo Bros have got girls going crazy. Literally.
My obsession with the group sort of happened on a whim, and pretty quickly at that. I had an internship this summer in New York City with my friend (who shall remain nameless as there are some embarrassing moments that I plan to uncover throughout this article) and everyday we hoped to see some major celebrity action while walking the streets of the city.
To our disappointment, we went almost all summer without any success, except for seeing Leonardo DiCaprio's eco-friendly bachelor pad in TriBeca. Oh, we also met Eileen Fulton, a soap opera star who has been on "As the World Turns" for over 50 years. Sorry Eileen, but you are no Sarah Jessica.
With our last two weeks of the summer in the city approaching us, we were pretty disappointed that our luck had failed us. That is until we realized that the Jonas Brothers were going to be in town.
I had heard their song "Burnin' Up" on the radio all summer and totally dug it, so I downloaded some of their other songs for my listening pleasure. Needless to say, I fell in love (I guess the "Love Bug" hit me), but wasn't totally on the obsessive level yet. My friend, however, was a huge fan and we decided to go to their sold out concert at Madison Square Garden.
Enter embarrassing moment number one. We got our third row tickets at $150 a piece, from a scalper the night before, and I am sure you can guess what happened. They were fake.
This is where my obsession began. If we had just been able to see them perform live that night, I would have been satisfied and that would have been the end of it.
But because I did not get to see the beautiful Joe Jonas sing to me live from the stage, my yearning to see these boys in person grew to an almost unhealthy level. That entire week, my friend and I dedicated our time to stalking the Jonas Brothers. I kid you not when I say this. We literally tried to find every single place that those boys were going to be while they were in the city.
