Letter: Professors thank ALS walk participants
Issue date: 10/23/08 Section: Editorial/Opinion
10/23/08 - To the Cigar,
Thanks to everyone who participated in Quad Walk 2 in memory of professor Yngve Ramstad. We so far have raised more than $1,400 for the ALS Association.
Special thanks to the student-athletes who walked and contributed more than $350, and to John Pantalone's URI 101 class that walked and helped with publicity.
As the Cigar editorial pointed out, ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) is insidious. Having witnessed it first-hand, we are committed to helping find its cause and cure.
Contributions to Ramstad's Rams can still be made online at www.walkri.org. We will also accept checks (payable to the ALS Association) or cash.
Barbara Luebke, Glen Ramsay and Gregg Burke
