02/25/09 - President/Vice President
Maxwell Adepoju & Amanda Clarke:
Greetings URI, Amanda & I are running for the URI Student Senate Presidential & Vice Presidential seat; and would be honored if you cast your vote for us this election period. Most recently we assumed the positions of Cultural Affairs & SOARC Chair on the student senate, and we have given the position a new light with the help of our outstanding committees. Issues we plan on tackling in the new academic year as President & Vice President are: Campus Programming, Narragansett sticker Ordinance, Campus Accessibility, working with the new URI President, and simply working in the best interest of the student body. Please feel free to contact us at Mr.Adepoju@gmail.com) with any questions, concerns or criticisms. Before you vote remember: "Max Out the Vote"!
David Bedard & Vidhi Shah
David Bedard and Vidhi Shah are both currently juniors at URI. They have served on the Student Senate since first semester of their freshman year. During their time on Senate they have served in many positions. Currently, David is the Vice President and Vidhi is the Treasurer.
David and Vidhi have a full platform they plan to address. This includes working with the new University President, continuing work on the Narragansett Sticker Lawsuit, advocating for Multicultural and Greek students, and transitioning new Club Sports teams without affecting existing teams. They will be the voice of all students to the administration and surrounding community.
David and Vidhi believe they are the most prepared to effectively serve the students of URI, and would greatly appreciate your vote!
On-Campus Representative
My name is Yvens Faustin and I am interested in being re-elected as an On-Campus Representative. My first semester as a senator was a great experience and I look
forward to being more involved and active if I am re-elected. If I am re-elected I would like to get more involved with other organizations and have a voice on campus for the student body. Re-elect me as an On-Campus Representative. Thank you!
