03/26/09 - On March 10, New Found Glory released its latest album, Not Without a Fight, and it is clear from this album that the '90s band is not going down without a fight.

New Found Glory, which has been touring the country for years, needed to do something to rebound from its last two albums.

In 2006, New Found Glory released the album Coming Home, and it sounded like the band had taken a trip far away from the band's comfort zone. A year later, New Found Glory released From the Screen to Your Stereo 2, and only several remakes on that CD really stood out (such as the cover of the Goo Goo Dolls,' "Kiss Me".)

The band, which originated as "A New Found Glory" found lots of glory on their latest album.

They continue to sing about the heartache of dirty break-ups, mishaps and lost love, but return to their original catchy sound from early albums like Nothing Gold Can Stay and their self-titled disc. The sound goes back even before the radio track "My Friends Over You."

Chad Pudnik's voice and the beats created by Cyrus Bolooki, Ian Grushka, Steve Klein and Chad Gilbert are a reminder of the collaborations that the band did on songs like "Hit or Miss," "Dressed to Kill" and "Better off Dead."

The new CD, which features 13 songs, doesn't leave the audience disappointed. The band sings about the struggles that come between staying with a girl of choice and letting her go - something many fans can relate to.

On "Don't Let Her Pull You Down," the song warns not to give into girl, to be one's own man, and to stand up for oneself. The next song on the CD is their latest single, "Listen to Your Friends," which seems be a continuation of the message from the previous song. The band seems to be sending the message, "Don't let her pull you down-listen to your friends!"

On other songs, the band sings about the troubles of getting "tangled up" in love with someone that they should have never laid eyes on. The band showcases a more vulnerable side when it sings about never loving again if the girl of choice turns them down on the song "I'll Never Love Again." This song also features fast-paced instrumentals with bassy background vocals.
