Summer 2009 - 1. Campus Access offices
Located: Second floor of the Memorial Union, basement of Adams Hall
Why it's important: This is the place to change your meal plan, activate your student ID or get a new one in the instance of losing it. You can also add to your Ram Account. The Adams Hall location deals with access problems that students may have with IDs, so if you can't get into your dormitory, walk on over to the office and see what the problem is.
2. Memorial Union
Located: Just a minute's walk from the Quadrangle, right next to the Multicultural Center
Why it's important: Having trouble with your laptop? Ram Computers is located here. Don't want to fail out of classes? This is also where the URI Bookstore is situated. All forms of student life are centered here. Every Student Senate-recognized organization with an office has one located in the Union. It's always buzzing with events in the ballroom, the Ram's Den and the Information Desk. The office of Student Life is also located in the Union, along with a computer lab on third floor and Ronzio's on the first floor! The Union Express and your mailbox is also located here.
3. Disability Services
Located: Third floor of the Memorial Union
Why it's important: Any student of faculty member with a documented disability should go here to find out what services are available to you.
4. Campus Police
Located: At the very top of campus, 85 Briar Lane
Why it's important: Student safety is top priority. If your laptop is stolen or your car is keyed, it's a good thing to know where the URI police station is. And it's only a parking lot away from Kingston Pizza.
5. Counseling Center
Located: Second floor of Roosevelt Hall
Why it's important: It can be as simple as dealing with stress or a bad breakup. URI counselors are here to help you, and their service is free!
