03/02/10 - It's unfortunate, but realistically many college students cannot afford to go away to some exotic place like Cancun, Mexico for spring break. Spring break seems to be full of loud, crazy, pump-up music that is perfect for a night out or just dancing by the pool during a beautiful sunny day.

But even if you won't be sipping Piña coladas at some exotic locale, you can still create a new iTunes playlist that features the same jams that your friends are listening to at the clubs. I am going to provide ten songs that epitomize spring break with upbeat, accelerated sounds, which require you to monitor your involuntary movements-you may not realize you are tapping your feet or maybe even "dropping it like it's hot."

While debating what to call this new playlist I have created, I originally thought, why not fun in the sun? However, that simply will not work. Why you ask? That name is entirely overused and very unoriginal. Many people are not even going away, so why label a playlist "fun in the sun" if most readers downloading my suggestions will be working inside from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.? After much deliberation I named my song suggestions, "Spring Break Breakdown." After all, my list is a breakdown of my predictions of the hottest songs of spring break 2010.

So here goes the list:

The first song is "Drug Dealer Girl" by Mike Posner, who is a senior student studying at Duke University. He has collaborated with Kid Cudi and 3OH!3, and is an up-and-coming artist, so look for him in the future!

Chris Brown's new song "What I Do" features Plies, and is fast paced and really catchy.

"Blah, Blah, Blah by Ke$ha, the voice behind the infamous "Tik Tok," is slightly annoying, but don't be surprised if it gets stuck in your head for days.

"Cocaine Cowboy" by DJ Khaled featuring Akon is definitely going to be widely played this break, along with Akon's other song "Change Me" with Keri Hilson. Hilson's voice is breaking out in the music scene recently.
